You won't believe how easy it is to make Catalina salad dressing from scratch and using pantry ingredients! This tangy salad dressing with a bit of smokiness from Redneck Riviera 1776 BBQ Sauce is great on a salad, but it would also be awesome in a taco salad or basted on chicken for grilling.
Ingredients
COPY INGREDIENTS
1/4 cup sugar, or sweetener of choice1/4 cup red wine vinegar1/4 cup onion, rough chopped, about 1/2 of a small onion1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika1/2 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper1/2 teaspoon salt1/2 cup vegetabl oil
Instructions
- In a blender, combine all of the ingredients - EXCEPT the oil. Blend until smooth and the sugar has dissolved. With the blender running on a low speed, slowly stream in the oil and blend until combined. Taste for seasoning and adjust as needed with salt and pepper.
- Pour into an airtight lid or mason jar and store in the refrigerator for up to 1 week. This dressing is best made ahead so the flavors can develop, about an hour.
