Gochujang is a staple in Korean cooking.  A sauce made from red chili paste and other ingredients is the perfect addition for the sticky glaze in these meatballs.  Sweet, garlicky and savory, this diverse appetizer works for a game day buffet or a fancy holiday spread.

    I think this is a 5 star recipe if you make your own meatballs - I find pre-made awful.  I made scratch meatballs, 24 from 1 pound of ground meat (half beef half pork).  I then used those small meatballs to make the best sub sandwiches ever.   On a split lightly toasted sub roll I placed some shredded cabbage (coleslaw mix would work too), 4 meatballs, some kim chi, sliced green onions, a bit of extra sauce & a sprinkle of toasted sesame seeds.  Between the sauce as given in the recipe & the kim chi, these sandwiches have some kick.  If you are wild about heat, the ssiracha ketchup should make you happy.  Thanks for a great sauce recipe folks at Red Gold.
