Pizza Sauce
1 can Red Gold® Whole Peeled Tomatoes 14.5 oz1 can Red Gold Tomato Love® Sriracha Diced Tomatoes + Red Chilies 10 oz1 Tablespoon Red Gold® Tomato Paste 6 oz2 garlic cloves, minced1 teaspoon olive oil1 1/2 teaspoons kosher salt, plus more to tastePizza
1 store bought pizza dough1 cup shredded mozzarella1/2 cup shredded white cheddar4 slices Canadian bacon, quartered3 scallions, thinly slicedsriracha , for serving, optionalInstructions
- Place a pizza stone or steel in your oven and preheat to 500°F. Let the oven preheat for a full hour.
- Add the Red Gold Whole Peeled Tomatoes, Red Gold Tomato Love Sriracha Diced Tomatoes + Red Chilies, and Red Gold Tomato Paste to a food processor and pulse to combine. Pour the sauce into a bowl and add the garlic, olive oil and salt. Taste and adjust seasoning.
- Stretch the pizza dough to a 12-14 inch circle. Spread the sauce on the dough and then add the cheese and Canadian bacon.
- With a dusted pizza peel, transfer the pizza to the oven and bake for 6-8 minutes, turning once. Broil for an additional 1 minute.
- Let the pizza cool on a rack before slicing. Sprinkle with scallions and serve with sriracha if desired.
Note: Remaining Tomato Paste can be put in a small container and frozen for future use.
