Red Gold Burger
A simple way to spruce up your burgers. Cook on the grill, or pan fry indoors. Serve on toasted buns with a delicious homemade salsa made using our vine-ripened Diced Tomatoes.
6 hamburger patties, cooked2 (14.5 ounce) Red Gold® Diced Tomatoes 14.5 oz or 1 (28 ounce) can Red Gold® Diced Tomatoes 28 oz, rinsed and drained4 green onions, green and white parts thinly sliced4 garlic cloves, minced1 jalapeno pepper, thinly sliced1/3 cup, white balsamic vineagar1 tablespoon brown sugar2 teaspoons ground ginger, or grated fresh ginger1 teaspoon ground cuminSalt and black pepper, to taste6 hamburger buns
- Combine diced tomatoes, green onions, garlic, and jalapeno pepper in a large bowl.
- In a separate bowl, combine vinegar, brown sugar, ginger, cumin, salt, and black pepper; stir to blend.
- Pour vinegar mixture over the tomato mixture; tossing to coat. Chill at least one hour before serving.
- Toast both halves of the bun. Place grilled burger on the bottom toasted bun. Spoon 1/4 cup of the tomato mixture in the center of the burger and place bun on top.
